Ast Signs recently worked with award winning Cumbrian butcher, Cranstons, to produce the signage for their new food hall. Established since 1914, Cranstons is a family run business, which now operates 4 local produce food halls and 2 traditional butcher’s shops. The new 2000 square foot food hall located in Brampton will offer customers a much bigger range of Cranstons’ renowned fresh meat and delicatessen produce along with completely new food and drink ranges from over 20 Cumbrian suppliers.
As part of the project, Ast Signs has supplied a wide range of internal and external signage for the new store. As a listed building, careful consideration has been given when planning the signage, which has also been in keeping with their current company branding. Doors feature etch vinyl graphics and externally, acrylic flat cut lettering, a hanging sign and double sided A-board are used to draw attention to the store. Internally, Di-bond picture boards, fitted with bullet fixings, and full colour, digitally printed posters have been used to display produce throughout.
Signage has been creatively designed to promote Cranstons’ products and services to customers throughout the store. Bespoke blackboards designed in the shape of different animals are used to show customers the cuts of meat available. A blackboard shaped in the form of the county of Cumbria is also used to showcase the location of suppliers who’s produce can be found in store. In addition to using locally sourced meat, Cranstons also support a large number of Cumbrian food and drink producers. For more information about their produce please visit www.cranstons.net. In addition to providing bespoke signage for the new Brampton food hall, Ast Signs has worked with Cranstons for a number of years providing signage and vehicle graphics across their business.
