Car wrap ford world rally cars
Date: 10-09-2009M-Sport's Ford Focus World Rally cars have new graphics for their 3rd season designed by our team here at AstSigns. Munchi's Ford World Rally team is in the FIA World Rally Championship and it is named after a popular chain of ice-cream parlours in Argentina. We had to design and wrap the 2008-spec Ford Focus RS.

As you can see from the finished vehicle wrap the results were pretty impressive. As with many projects we often have to remove and replace parts of the wrap at short notice to help them maintain a pristine overall look!

Last weekend, Munchi’s Ford WRT driver Federico Villagra scored his fifth points finish of the season taking an impressive eighth place overall at Repco Rally Australia, round 10 of the FIA World Rally Championship. This helps cement his place in the top ten of the Drivers’ Championship going into the final event of his eight-rally campaign in Spain next month.
Current Argentine national rally champion Federico Villagra will contest eight rounds this campaign under the new, relaxed FIA rules which allow manufacturer teams to enter only one car on each event. The team began its campaign at Rally Cyprus and is contesting WRC rounds in Portugal, Argentina, Sardinia, Greece, Finland, Australia and Spain.
Both successful competitors in their home country of Argentina, Companc and Villagra were nevertheless two of the least experienced international rally competitors in the 2007 field. Unsurprisingly their goal for the season was to learn; to familiarise themselves with the rallies in the series, and to improve their pace as they went along. And looking back at the season that's exactly what they did.
Last year the best event for the Munchi's team was Rally Japan, when Companc and Villagra finished fifth and seventh respectively, their best WRC finishes to date. In fact, Companc only narrowly missed out on fourth place.
