Following a successful 2010, Penrith based Ast Signs are continuing their expansion, by creating 10 new jobs in the region, with a further five to be confirmed over the next few weeks. Part of their growth sees them acquire the Carlisle based printing.com franchise, which will operate from their Kingmoor Park premises.
Printing.com will be headed up by Steve Hastings. Steve, 32, from Carlisle has over 16 years’ experience in the industry starting out at a printing firm from school then more recently he has been running another printing.com franchise. Ast Signs have already owned the franchise in Penrith for two years and are now taking over the Carlisle franchise.

Since the start of the year we have created 10 new positions which have all been filled by local people, despite the fact that the majority of our work is on national contracts outside of Cumbria.”
