Dave Simpson just missed out on first place by three seconds on Sunday 19 June when he was competing in the Cholmondely castle triathlon. Dave who is part of the AstSigns team started off with an 800m swim followed by a 44km bike ride and finished with an 8km run. Dave is used to Triathlons as he has already taken part in triathlons in Keswick, Blenheim, and Darlington this year with a view to also complete Hawick triathlon, Teeside tri, London triathlon,( which will have around 14,000 competitors), Carlisle tri, Nottingham team relays, Penrith tri and Tatton park. All of these will stand Dave in good stead for 2012 when Dave will be competing in the Lanzarote Ironman. The Lanzarote Ironman is meant to be one of the toughest Ironman circuits. Dave is a member of the Arragon’s Cumbria Triathlon club in Penrith. Good luck with the rest of your triathlons Dave. We will keep you updated on his progress throughout the year.
